Week 1
  •   Village in the Congo decimates a forest, illustrating a tragedy of the commons situation (part 1, part 2, part 3).
  • This case offers  a more optimistic picture of how a user-pay system for ecosystem services might avoid such situations. 

Week 3
  • Interview with Arne Naess on Deep Ecology  1, 2 & 3
  • Documentary about the ecosystem concept was invented and "how it isn't even true": Adam Curtis' All Watched Over By Machines of Loving Grace: The Use and Abuse of Vegetational Concepts.
